Begin the Discussion On How You Can Protect and Grow Your Assets

My Financial Advisor Experience
Out of college, I started in financial services with a small company (United Resources) that specialized in 403(b) plans. They were quickly bought out by MetLife. I worked at MetLife Resources, a division of MetLife specializing in retirement plans and managing client portfolios, for 20 years.
Whom Am I Affiliated With Today?
Ten years ago, I decided I wanted to go independent. I am now affiliated with Cambridge Investment Research Advisors, Inc., a $44B RIA based in Fairfield, IA. I am also registered with Cambridge Investment Research, Inc., an independent broker-dealer with over 3,000 registered representatives nationwide
Most client investment accounts are held at Pershing LLC and Fidelity Investments, Pershing, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Bank of New York Mellon Corporation (BNY Mellon).
How Much Do I Charge?
Most clients pay fee-only or an hourly rate. The size and complexity of the client’s wealth management and financial and retirement planning determine that fee.
Some clients pay a commission, mainly those with smaller accounts, i.e., Roth IRAs, some public-school teachers with 403b retirement accounts or parents or grandparents setting up a 529 college savings plan.
Do We Need to Meet in Person?
The first introductory and fact-finding (pdf) appointment can be in person or by phone. The next meeting where I provide my recommendations should be in person. (For the time being phone and email replacing in-person meetings)
Subsequent meetings where we monitor your progress and investments can be done in-person, by phone, email, or skype or, more likely, a combination of these meeting types.
Is there an aspect of your work that we did not discuss that you would like included in this profile?
One can read more about my business on my case details pages.
Roots in the Merrimack Valley
I lived in Haverhill for five years and have clients that currently live or work in the Merrimack Valley.
What Qualities Do You and the Firm That Prompts Potential Clients to Select Your Services?
I hope clients come to me because I put their interests first. I have a lot of experience and have been through a bunch of different markets, and I am independent. I am not required to sell any companies’ products.
No Cookie-Cutter Solutions
As an independent financial advisor, I have access to many financial products, including mutual funds, ETFs, stocks, bonds, and annuities, which I use to build custom portfolios, trusts, and retirement plans for people and organizations.
