Thinking of Retiring?

Financial Advisor Tim Hayes AIF®, CRPS®, AWMA®, CFS®, APMA®, CAS®

  • Understanding interest rates, bonds, annuities, and dividend stock investing along with other transition products can be challenging, if not confusing.
  • As with most things in life, the first step is often difficult, but securing sound financial advice shouldn’t be left until it’s too late.
  • Finding a licensed and knowledgeable resource—it’s the best financial advice you’ll ever receive.

Investing In an Overpriced Stock Market

Is the U.S. stock market overpriced today? According to two measures of value, Q Ratio and CAPE the answer is yes—and dangerously so.

Retirement Plans for Self-Employed

I would like to give some love to two under-appreciated retirement plans: (1) the Simplified Employee Pension (SEP), and (2) the Solo 401(k).

Fee-Only or Commission What is Best for You?

Many financial advisors are registered as both representatives of a broker-dealer and as investment-advisor representatives of an investment advisor

Retiring When the Stock Market is High and Interest Rates are Low

You just retired. Along with a great career, you have built up a substantial 401(k) balance. However, now you need income, not growth.

FAQ

Financial Consultant Mattapoisett & Marion Tim Hayes AIF®, CRPS®, AWMA®, CFS®, APMA®, CAS®

Independent solutions for you!

As an independent financial advisor, I have access to many financial products, including mutual funds, ETFs, stocks, bonds, annuities, and life insurance programs. I use these and other products to build custom portfolios for people, according to their individual needs and goals.

My Financial Advisor Experience

I’ve held an industry securities registration for 30+ years and am subject to SEC and FINRA oversight.

Do We Need to Meet in Person?

The first introductory and fact-finding appointment can be in person or by phone. The next meeting where I provide my recommendations should be in person. (For the time being a phone, skype, Zoom, and email replacing in-person meetings)

Subsequent meetings where we monitor your progress and investments can be done in-person, by phone, email, Zoom, or skype or, more likely, a combination of these meeting types.

How Much Do You Charge?

Most clients pay fee-only or an hourly rate. The size and complexity of the client’s wealth management and financial and retirement planning determine that fee.

Some clients pay a commission, mainly those with smaller accounts, i.e., Roth IRAs, some public-school teachers with 403b retirement accounts or parents or grandparents setting up a 529 college savings plan.
